The long overdued but anticipated election has finally come into immediate effect starting tomorrow!!

This season turned out to be "special", as majority of nominees turned down their posts, ending up only a few are contested this time, hence the delay, as a result to confirm, and re-confirm from the nominees. The following posts will be contested this season:

System of voting will be as following:

Each student will have ONE vote according to their positions, either JPA, MINDEF or PRIVATES.
Each student of 5th Year will have ONE vote to chooes their batch rep.
Voting will commence during classes tomorrow, with votes given out by respective Group Leaders.
After voting, votes will be COLLECTED BACK and SEALED in an envelope by Group Leaders, and then given back to Batch Reps of their respective years.
Votes will be counted together by the MSA Committee on Friday/Saturday and result will be announced. Witnesses will be present to ensure fairness.

Please note that there's no change in your original time... leave it as it was. Please check those device especially with automatic daylight saving (DST). We're NOT get our 1 hour's extra sleep beginning this year.

In 2011, the Russian government adopted a law to cancel Daylight Saving Time (DST). As a result, Russia will not "fall back" to Winter time."

What is Daylight Savings Time (DST)?
Daylight saving time (DST), and "Summer Time" in much of Europe, is the practice of moving local time forward one hour in the spring and backwards in the autumn. These spring and autumnal shifts to DST are different between northern and southern hemispheres. The start of DST in the northern hemisphere is usually in March or April (depending on the country/continent), and ending in October or November. In the southern hemisphere, the changes are the opposite, with DST beginning in October and ending in March or April.

To students of 3rd to 5th Year, we are organizing a small complementary inspection/inquiry session this Tuesday on 6pm-7pm, room No.7 (if no changes), Ground floor, Hostel 5.
Purpose of this session is for whoever having doubts or questions about their nostrification process, eg.
-Where is the place exactly?
-Which certificates should I translate?
-How many sets for Cert A, and how many sets for Cert B?....Etc.
Please bring along your original certificates. I will also be inspecting to make sure that everyone has got the right stamps or not. Please tell your friends.

PRACTICAL REMINDER

Dear nizhnians,
PRACTICAL REMINDER: (please read the previous post before referring to this one!)
A letter is DEFINITELY nided to apply for practical in Malaysia UNLESS you have your OWN WAYS. There r 2types of letters (nid only either 1) which u can apply for regarding this matter!

1. letter stating that u r a student frm our academy and u want to do practical in Malaysia which u can get frm practical centre at Aleksevskaya street, whch is also the 1 u r getting aft filling in the small form during meeting w natalia genadevna. (quite a few working days to process). You can get it from Nina Nikolayevna in Practical Centre at Aleksevskaya Street.
NB! This letter also clearly states the type of practical that u r required to do with the duration for eg. 2nd year student - 4weeks nursing.

2. letter ONLY stating that u r a student frm our academy. (u can get ON THE SPOT,just have to wait awhile!) . You can get this letter in dean's office from Angelica Anatolevna (the lady sitting opposite Mihal Mihalovich).

based on my experience, both letters have the same function, as in u can apply for practical using either 1 of this letter, BUT i personally used before both types of letters and both worked. Of course the safest is still letter no.1 BUT if your situation really doesnt permit you to get letter no.1, at least you have 2nd option which is letter no.2.

teacher x care how u got a place to do practical, janji you come back with what she wants (letter frm hospital stating that u r doing practical thr as a proof, diaries with picture, and characteristic form w cop and sign plus comments frm doctor).
NB! WITHOUT THE THINGS IN THE BRACKET= NEVER DO PRACTICAL= CANNOT PASS PRACTICAL EXAM!

Conclusion: Depending on individual's situation, decide which letter is best for u. BUT in my personal opinion, letter no.2 is enough especially for those who r in a hurry! And as i stated earlier, it's still better NOT to take unnecessary risk unless you are quite sure that you can get to do practical in Malaysia as time (around 2months) is needed for application. Better finish it in Russia!

Changes in Practicals!!!

Dear students,

I believe most of you have heard of the changes in summer practical after the meeting with Natalia Genadevna yesterday evening. The information listed below is FINAL.

1. You are allowed to do practical in Malaysia.

- It’s good that some of you might have your own ways of applying for hospital attachment in Malaysia.

- BUT for those who need a supporting letter from our university for application in Malaysia, you can come to me (room 606, hostel 5) to fill in a form by Sunday night 19/6/11. The forms are for Natalia Genadevna to help students to acquire their supporting letters. Those who had already filled in during the meeting and those who are to come to me by Sunday night, letters are estimated to be ready to be collected at the practical centre at Aleksevskaya Street by FRIDAY 25/6/11. You can send a representative to collect for others.

- If you miss this chance, don’t worry. You can go to our practical centre located in Aleksevskaya Street and look for Nina Nikolayevna. She will give you the form and help you with the letter.

- Is this letter important? Actually, this is a formal 1^st step to apply for hospital attachment back in Malaysia. BUT as I mentioned earlier, if students have their OWN WAY to get permission to do their practical in Malaysia hospital w/o this letter, you may go ahead, as long as YOU GET TO DO YOUR PRACTICAL IN MALAYSIA especially for those who haven’t fulfil their “quota” in Russia!

Quota for each year:

2^nd - 4 weeks of NURSING

3^rd – 2 weeks of SURGERY, 2 weeks of INTERNAL MEDICINE

4^th – same as 3^rd + 2 weeks of OBSTETRICS & GYNEACOLOGY

5^th – have few variants (described in the following)

NB! Those who wants to do your practical in Malaysia, please do inform your batch representative ASAP so that your name can be excluded in the timetable for summer practical in Russia!

2. What Natalia Genadevna (aka Britney) needs from us, requirements, for practical examination?

IN MALAYSIA	IN RUSSIA
(i) Official Letter from hospital in Malaysia stating that you are allowed to do your practical for eg. 4weeks ( duration you are supposed to fulfil) (ii) Diaries with pictures (if practical is not done in Russia) (iii) Complete characteristic form (with cop and signature from department-in-charge) and preferably with comment from doctor	(i) Diaries (ii) Complete characteristic form (with cop and signature from department-in-charge)

NB! Those who use their own way to do practical in Malaysia, please make sure that you are able to get an official letter from hospital in Malaysia!

NB! From my experience, application for hospital attachment in Malaysia usually takes approximately 2 months unless you have your OWN WAYs.

- So, dear students (especially those who haven’t fulfil their quota in Russia and juniors who don’t have any experience applying), please make sure that you are able to settle this and do your practical in Malaysia smoothly. If not, better do it in Russia before going back home. Please DO NOT take unnecessary risks!

- For those who are applying doing EXTRA and purely for personal interest, it won’t be a big problem in case you can’t get to do your practical in Malaysia, PROVIDED you have already met ALL the requirements that Natalia Genadevna wants from you!

NB! Teacher had already mentioned that there were cases, where students were already EXPELLED, just because they did not complete the practicals.

FOR THOSE WHO DECIDED TO DO THEIR PRACTICAL IN RUSSIA

Please check your own current status at Winter and Summer Practicals section. Please update respective batch reps if there are any mistakes that needs to be corrected!

5^th year

1^st of all, polyclinic practice in Malaysia is encouraged, but NOT in Russia.

If do in Russia, previously 2 Weeks of Ambulance + 2 weeks of polyclinic

NOW new rule – only AMBULANCE 4 weeks!

Check which category u fall in!

1^st category: finished both ambulance + polyclinic in Russia

2^nd category: finished ambulance in Russia

3^rd category: half way doing ambulance in Russia

4^th category: started nothing

What to do?

1^st category: Teacher is doubtful that you actually managed to finish POLYCLINIC, BUT as long as you have proper documents (diaries, hospital cops, characteristic form), you are considered done with practical. So, you may either ignore and take the risk(maybe asked about polyclinic practice in Russia during examination) OR do extra in Russia (ambulance) or in Malaysia (EITHER ambulance 2 weeks OR polyclinic 2 weeks)

2^nd category: continue in Russia (ambulance) OR in Malaysia (EITHER ambulance 2 weeks OR polyclinic 2 weeks)

3^rd category: same as in 2^nd category

4^th category: can do all in Russia (4 weeks ambulance) OR in Malaysia (ambulance + polyclinic OR ambulance, as long as the duration is 4 weeks)

There will be a meeting for all students regarding our summer practicals, Friday, 17.06.2011 at 1st hostel hall, 4pm with Natalia Geliadiyevna. Attendance is compulsory for all 4th & 5th years, and at least 1 representatives from each group for 2nd & 3rd years. Students of other nations can join the meeting too. Dear Malaysian students & of other nations alike,

For those who are planning to get their "Dopus" for examination, please visit the Dean's Office only at 3pm or after that -- from Dean's Office.
New slight changes of collecting Visas for travelling this year (summer) - Compulsory to bring along:

Form with library stamps & signature & printed departure e-ticket behind it,
3 matte photos (3x4cm size, NON-GLOSSY, own name written behind each of it)
1000rubs for Visa processing fee (compared to 1800rubs last year)
2 sets of copies of passport - All pages of passport, including empty unused pages, excluding the cover, and to maximize each A4 paper to the fullest, meaning ~8 pages of passport PER A4 PAGE, both sides printed)

Election of New MSA NNSMA committee will be postponed until further notice, due to some unforseen reasons, and as to provide more quality time for the consideration of nominees. Sorry for any inconveniences caused.

Thank you very much for your warm support for making our Spring Carnival a success. We hope that everyone had a great time, selling, buying, and eating their food. A big thank you for the tenders in our attempt to raise more funds for future events, primarily MIG 2012:NN. We hope you had also managed to raise funds for yourself/organization. Financial report will be presented during AGM next semester.
MSA has elected the new organizing committee for MIG 2012:NN, with reference of survey forms from public opinions of our community, and we have already started the plans and work of different roles. Plans and organization will start as soon as possible by MSA committee, followed by the establishment of MIG 2012: NN Chapter committee. Please be updated of our progress. Cooperation from each of everyone is very much appreciated.

Fellow Malaysians,

There will be a Gala Concert organized by our Academy at 1st hostel hall on Thursday, 07.04.2011, at 6pm, showcasing all the selected best performers/winners from all different faculties within our academy, of which had been going on everyday for the past week. Admission of free of course, but seats will be limited!
I would like to re-announce the winners for WOG 2011 snowman making, where 2nd place is won by 6th years, and 3rd place by 2nd years. I apologize for the technical & communications errors which occurred during Malaysian Night 2011, where we did not give out their prizes. Congratulations!
6th Year computer test has started this week, at 1h40m per person, in Russian. It will be coordinated together with Galen, 6th yr Batch Rep, and latest updates/comments will be displayed on FB 6th year group.
Body medical checkup timetable will be released soon. Please stay tuned on updates in the blog.

Fellow Malaysians,

First of all, I would like to give thanks for everyone's participation in making Malaysian Night 2011 as it had been, especially those who had worked extra hard. I hope everyone enjoyed themselves, despite quite a long, 3-hour record breaking event in the hall. Of course there had been problems here and there, eg. members no-show, rice not enough, etc., but we will work better to resolve them next time.

Also, from today onwards, Monday to Saturday, everyday at 6pm there will be various concerts/events from various faculties taking place in 1st hostel hall. Anyone is welcomed. Our highlight will be the International Students' Night on Saturday (02.04.2011), with collaboration of Russian & African students mainly.

We will also try to talk to Dean's Office regarding clashes of Exam date with Moscow Games. Latest updates will be in Facebook NNSMA Contigent group.

Throughout the history of the MSA, we’ve always been trying our best in helping and reaching out to our beloved Malaysian community in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia.

We always believe in a united Malaysian community, coming out and putting our hands together to make our university life unforgettable, memories which we’d like to carry with us for the rest of our lives. Dear students,

As some of you may already have heard, and yes, 05.03.2011 (Saturday) WILL be a WORKING DAY. It will be subsequent replacement for 7th March, following the timetable for that day. However, please plan ahead with your own teachers if necessary.

23.02.2011 (Wednesday) will be a national holiday - Defender of the Fatherland Day/Red Army Day/"Men's Day" as a reminder to you all, and 06-08.03 will also be another holiday for Women's Day.

Sadly, our anticipated Malaysian Night will have to be postponed until further notice, most likely to fall on 19.03.2011, due to the month-long quarantine, soon-to-be Chinese New Year open house, 05.03 class replacement, and probably in time for the new 1st year students***.

GRIPP Epidemic

Dear students,

Now our city is hit by the GRIPP/Flu epidemic, hence the quarantine of the hostels. In regard to this issue, there is a new notice for all, whoever is sick, having any symptoms, you can get the letter from the doctor(either visiting GVD polyclinic, clinic @4th hostel, ambulance), and then show them to the dean's office to get permission, WITHOUT class replacements. Please be informed. This applies to ALL students of NNSMA.
Any problems, please do not hesitate to contact me or our Welfare Office, Pang Yee Jack, aka "Jack" for any help necessary, including calling ambulance, etc.
Stay healthy and take extra multivitamins to be safe.

Audition For the Malaysian Night 2011

As you know, the Malaysian Night 2011 will be held on the 5th of March 2011. To select the performances for the MN, we are organizing an audition for the selection of performances on the 26th of February 2011. (time and venue yet to be decided).

This is your golden opportunity to show your talents on-stage to our teachers, lecturers and friends. Students are encouraged to grab this chance and give it a go.

Criteria:

> Group/Solo performances (instrumental, singing, dancing, sketch, choir and etc.)

> Items should not be too lengthly (preferably 3-5 minutes in length)

> Preferably, items should have something related to our very own Malaysian Culture.

Also 3rd year students might officially be having their surgery in other hospitals, not GYVD this time, so please take notice. We are trying to MAX out the availability of students for Internal Medicine this winter, so please wait till the timetable then.

Reason for this delay is that the teachers-in-charge still have classes with other students in the mornings when the practical is taking place, so they'll need time to organize & distribute you properly.

We are pushing to start earlier, and if possible, you will be contacted (esp. 3rd years).

5th year students will be having Ambulance practicals ONLY for this semester after exams. Polyclinic is out of the question, due to epidemiological laws regarding flu/gripp outbreak.

For those who have not taken back their migration card, you should get it back from your Batch Representatives. As for the Immigration Rule of Russian Federation Government, students who are staying in NN should always have their own migration card at all times - Dean's Office. Please avoid this inconvenience in the future by collecting it earlier by yourselves next time ok?

Police might be doing random spot checks at anytime to your room during Pre- & Post-New Year season. Also no one should go out on this weekend, including MEGA, especially when it is getting dark. Unless it is really urgent, please be informed to your friends of your whereabouts. Situation MAY be a little tense this weekend -- from Police & Dean's Office.

Only classes at sumashka/4th corpus,BFK & cardiocenter/peds,radiology will continue as normal. Others will be cancelled. If your class is cancelled, if possible please contact your teacher and inform them about it, as dean's office is still closed and will have delays at this early hour. Please be advised. Any news updates please contact me.

And for those going to Sumashka is advised to take bus No. 72/85 route. If you see anything wrong, dun get down the bus. stay together all the time.

As most of you have probably heard, there will PROBABLY be riot at Gorkova or Komsomolskaya area. Please be EXTRA careful when travelling through those areas, and avoid segregated/lonely areas. AVOID walking alone at ALL TIMES and walk in groups and open areas.

This is still a plausible rumor got heated up by many sources, and it will hit MAINLY in Moscow only, not in NN possibly.

I ask you to be ever more patient regarding this issue as I clear this up with the authorities, and by the time of this post, CLASSES will be AS USUAL tomorrow, unless told otherwise. Those who have more "flexible" teachers, you can try to contact them and ask for their opinion.

Winter Hazards

Dear students,

As winter is starting, the streets will also be starting to be filled with drukards or skinheads, usually preying on foreigners like us for money or to just bash us up for fun. So please be careful and try not to go out alone, especially when it starts to get dark.

A recent case which just happened on 01.12.2010 evening, near 2nd hostel, where a student was ganged & beaten up, raised certain concerns, so please warn and advise all your dear friends to be cautious. Prevention is better than cure. If there is anything, which I hope not, please feel free to call anyone for help. At home we have families, out here we have friends.

Passport and Registration Paper collection

You are required to collect back your Passports if you have submitted it 2 weeks ago or earlier before, or else it will be at risk of it being mixed up or lost.

Also, those who have their registration expiring at the end of October and November 2010, and have already submitted their documents earlier, can now pay a visit to collect your new registration papers for your own safekeeping as they are ready. These documents should be with ourselves at all times in case being approached by authorities.

Dear students,

Just a little bit of a late update concerning the recent events upon receiving sms regarding NNSMA's Russian student election, if you're not sure of how to reply it, then I'll briefly explain it here.

One should be receiving 2 sms, 1st one being informative, 2nd sms with numbers inside, for eg. 52831 1 20 1. The steps will be to forward back the 2nd sms with those numbers to 1121 as the recepient. It is free-of-charge. After you've forwarded it, you'll be receiving a confirmation sms in a short while, and that's all! Piece of cake!

Also, it's be very cold this week, probably -18C on Tuesday and -20C on Wednesday, so please be warm and take good care of yourself.

As you've heard about the rumours flying around, yes, on 4th & 5th November 2010 will be holiday for all of us!!

4th Nov is a day where Russia celebrates National Unity Day/Consolidation Day, "День народного единства". Usually it is celebrated around 3-4th November each year.

HOWEVER, all students are required to REPLACE their classes on 13.11.2010, by basing on timetable of 05.11.2010 (Friday). Senior students are to confirm with their respective teachers if there happens to be a clash/complication of their cycle(s). 13.11.2010 will be AN OFFICIAL WORKING DAY, which means that the dean's office will also be opened.

Those who plan to go for a short travel for ~3 days, eg. Moscow, should visit the dean's office to get official papers.

P/S: The Dean's Office also wishes everyone Happy Holidays and hoped that no one will get into "any kinds of trouble"!

Dear students of NNSMA, there are a few announcements:

New updated timetable for 1st year students are now available. Russian class timetable is to follow your latest arrangement with Russian department, as in meeting on 29th Sept.
Students who have their registration up to 10.10.2010, you can now collect your passports from the dean's office (if you have submitted weeks ago); Students having their registration up to 12-13.10.2010 can collect passport on 15th Oct; and those with registration up to 15-17.10.2010 can collect passport on 20th Oct.
For those who have submitted their passports at any other times, as a rule, you can collect back your passport after 2 weeks of submission.
Timetable for 1st Year stomatology students (non-Malaysians) is currently unavailable. Please proceed with the given timetable on 28th Sept. (meeting with the teachers)

Summer Practical Meeting

On Friday (18/06), there will be meeting with Dean of Summer Practical, Наталья Генадьевна at 3.00pm at the Lecture Hall №9 (the hall near 1st Hostel). All students from 2nd to 5th year are compulsory to attend this meeting. The meeting is mainly about the schedule, syllabus, and procedure when participating the practical. Any question arise can be asked during that time. Please pass this message around to your friends including those non-Malaysian students.

SPA

Attention all 6th year students. There will be an interview with the Delegate from SPA from the 21st to 23rd of June at 3rd Hostel, 1st Floor (room to be determined). Please those who will have problem with the given date or it is not changed, please e-mail me as soon as possible for me to e-mail the correct list to En. Wan. 6th year diploma fees + Summer Practical 2009/2010

6th Year diploma fees
All 6th year must pay the 1200rub between 18th of June and before your graduation ceremony. If you fail to pay it, you will not receive your graduation certificate. Please take note.

Summer Practical 2009/2010
After 2 weeks of negotiation concerning the practical timetable, I have some good news and some bad news to deliver.

The timetable of the summer practice 2009/2010 for 2nd year to 4th year have been issued. Please search our DataBase>Summer Practical for the timetable.
For 5th year students, since the polyclininc center are limited, currently the Deanary of Summer Practice is helping out by finding other avaiable polyclinics. If it goes as planned, everyone will start the polyclinic pratice at 21st of June for 2 weeks. If failed, I am sorry that you will be splitting into 2 batches. The 1st is 21/06 - 02/07 while the 2nd is 05/07 - 16/07. Lets us pray hard that the other polyclinic will accept us so that everything will go smoothly. The timetable will be announced next week.
For 2nd and 3rd year, due to the arrangement of your timetable, you will be able to shorten the practical duration for those who did your practical during winter. Alteration is possible but within the range of given duration and dates.
Unfortunately for the 4th years due to the request of the teacher in charge and the limited place of practice, your timetable is fixed and NO ALTERATION is possible regardless you have done your practical during winter or not. Alteration MAYBE allowed for Surgery and Internal Medicine but I do not guarantee.
The practicals are unable to bring forward or postpone. The date is fixed!!!

I know that some of you may have airticket issues, but I am very sorry. I had try my best to convince the Deanary of summer practice. The duration and date is a curriculum set by the university. They have tried to alter but it seems not possible. For further infomation, contact your batch representatives for more details.

NEW VISA Application Form
The new VISA Application form has been issued. I have already distributed to each year batch representatives (you can collect frm your batch rep for free) or any MSA committee (but you have to photocopy the form by yourself). Claim the Form from the batch by yourselves and read the New Rules below before filling.

NEW VISA Rules
The Dekanat wants students to provide the 3 things below when you submit the NEW VISA Application form (with stamps from the library and vice dean)

1800 rubles - rather than paying it when we come back from Malaysia, we will need to pay it before going out of Russia. But not to worry as you don't have to pay any money when you return to Russia. The 1800 rubles consist of:
200 rubles - registration of multiple Visa
600 rubles - cost of 2 rubles per day stayed in Russia. Max 600 rubles.
1000 rubles - cost of multiple VISA

New Committee
The installation of the New committee 2010/2011 will start from the next semester 3rd week after the school starts or maybe earlier or later depending on situation, as a rule, the new committee will start working after the AGM. The main purpose I set the election earlier is for the new committee to be prepared and so that they can plan earlier before they are officially installed. Currently, the committee board remains unchanged and my committee 2009/2010 is still in authority.

Dean's Office working Hours
Now, the group leaders are recommended to submit the group member's credit books to get the допуск from Vice Dean. Dekanat working hours are as below.
Mon - Thurs: 0900 - 1200; 1300 - 1700
Friday: 0900 - 1200; 1300 - 1600
The Vice Dean will be at Dekanat around 1530 - 1400 (3.30 - 4.00pm) to the end of the working hours.

Police patrol
Due to the clash between the Africans and the Russians of ННГСУ a few days ago there is an increased patrol of the police around the city to avoid another round of clashes. The police will stop any foreign students in the streets. All students are adviced to bring with you your student card, imigration card and passport at all times so avoid any problems with the authorities.

Good news!Students who handed in their names and passport no. to apply for Metro Membership card can now go to metro to claim ur temporary metro card. You need to bring ur passport with you to get ur card. The owners are allowed to bring 2 other friends to enter metro with one card. Owners are not allowed to borrow their card to friends.To those who didn't get to send in thier details on time, don't worry! MSA Executive Board dan Committee Board sesi 2009/10 ingin merakamkan ucapan Tahniah dan Syabas kepada pelajar2 Malaysia yang dicalonkan ke jawatan yang akan dipertandingkan untuk merebut kerusi panas dan kerusi baru dalam MSA untuk sesi hadapan, 2010/2011.

Untuk pengetahuan semua, MSA adalah satu-satunya organisasi pelajar yang diiktiraf dan diluncurkan oleh Kedutaan Besar Malaysia di Moscow. Tanggungjawab ini besar dan harus dipikul oleh wakil-wakil pelajar kita disini. Jadi, pemilihan pucuk pimpinan MSA yang baru setiap tahun adalah penting selaras dengan hasrat pihak kedutaan dan juga pihak universiti.

Jadi, kerusi dalam MSA yang dipertandingkan kali ini ialah jawatan President (1 kerusi), jawatan Batch Representatives (5 kerusi) dan JPA/MARA/MINDEF Representatives (3 kerusi).

Semua pelajar Malaysia di NNSMA harus pergi mengundi dan memeriahkan suasana politik kampus di tempat pengajian kita ini. Apa salah kiranya kita ambil masa seketika untuk datang mengundi dan menyokong perwakilan pelajar yang mengambil bahagian dalam pemilihan kali ini.

Insurance Policy
Insurance policy card had been issued. It will be distributed by your batch representative. Please read the intructions of the Insurance Policy before using it. Keep the card properly as you need to show this card during your visit to the polyclinic ГУВД or hospital admittance by ambulance. Report to the MSA committee or Dekanat if you lost it. Please keep in mind that you are not allow to claim for your physical examination. The instruction in English Version had been posted at DataBase>NNSMA Insurance Policy. Please have a look.

VISA Application Form
You need to get your VISA application Form chop and sign by librarian and Vice Dean before leaving Russia. The Dekanat knows that everyone have an empty copy of the form. From this year onwards, there will be some changes on the form. So, do not hand in the OLD FORM as you still will not be able to get your VISA although you have all the stamps and signatures needed. The NEW form has not been issued yet. I will give it to the batch representatives once i receive the NEW form.

Exam Date

Physical Examination
I just received calls from the hospital that hospital will not open on the 10th of May except emergencies cases. Group 331C & 331D which was scheduled to do your physical examination on that day will be potponed. The date will be announced once i received data from the Deanary of Summer Practice.

Kontigen NNSMA di temasya “7th Malaysian Intervarsity Games” di Kursk

Kontigen NNSMA seramai 87 orang selamat pulang ke asrama pelajar di Gagarin Avenue, Nizhny Novgorod pada hari Isnin, 19 April 2010 kira-kira jam 10.00 pagi.

Kontigen NNSMA terdiri dari 81 pelajar dan 2 cikgu pengiring serta 4 pemandu bas dari Syarikat Ejen Pelancongan Trial-Tour Nizhny Novgorod. Pada hari Khamis, 15/04/2010 2 buah bas yang disewa bertolak pada pukul 7.00 pagi dan tiba di Hotel Sosnoviy Bor, Kursk pada hari Jumaat, 16/04/2010 jam 1.00 pagi. Perjalanan ke Kursk mengambil masa selama 17 jam (4 kali berhenti).

Setiap tahun universiti perubatan di Russia yang diiktiraf oleh kerajaan Malaysia akan mengambil giliran untuk menganjurkan temasya sukan intervarsiti. Kali ini adalah giliran Kursk State Medical University (KSMU) menganjurkan kejohanan sukan terbesar pelajar-pelajar Malaysia di Russia buat kali ke-7.

Temasya sukan ini telah berlangsung dari 16hb hingga 18hb April 2010 di pelbagai Sportzal di KSMU dan sekitar kampus tersebut.

Berikut adalah universiti-universiti yang menyertai temasya kali ini: Moscow Medical Academy (MMA), Russian State Medical University (RSMU), Nizhny Novgorod State Medical Academy (NNSMA), Volgograd State Medical University (VSMU), Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI) dan Kursk State Medical University (KSMU) selaku tuan rumah.

Kontigen NNSMA ke Kursk Games 2010 dikepalai oleh Ketua Kontigen, Saudara Mohamad Hafiz Bin Harun dan dibantu oleh Pegawai ke-2 Kontigen, Saudari Pearly Sim Kim Aik dan Pegawai ke-3 Kontigen, Saudara Victor Lim Chia Chuen. Kontigen ini juga diiringi oleh 2 cikgu pengiring, Gospodin Vladimir Vasirovich dan Gospozha Lira Albertovna.

Dan berikut adalah acara sukan yang disertai oleh Kontigen NNSMA sepanjang temasya ini berlangsung: Futsal (Lelaki & Perempuan), Bola Keranjang (L & P), Badminton, Boling Tenpin, Bola Baling (L & P), Bola Tampar (L & P), Hoki Lelaki, Sepak Takraw Lelaki dan Tarik Tali.

Berikut adalah acara sukan yang tidak disertai oleh kontigen NNSMA: Ping Pong, Bola Jaring dan Cybergames (DOTA dan Counter-Strike).

Hari pertama temasya berlangsung pada hari Jumaat, 16/04/2010 bermula seawal jam 8.00 pagi. Upacara pembukaan dirasmikan oleh TYT Duta Besar Malaysia ke Russia, Dato Mohamad Khalis dan seterusnya diikuti dengan acara sukan yang dianjurkan.

Semasa temasya ini berlangsung, President MSA (KSMU) telah mengadakan sebuah mesyuarat penting antara 6 ketua kontigen dari seluruh universiti di Russia membincangkan format baru dan persetujuan bersama dalam menganjurkan "Malaysian Intervarsity Games" pada tahun-tahun mendatang supaya perlaksanaan temasya sukan ini lebih hebat dan mencapai tahap terbaik. Format baru ini akan bermula di Moscow 2011 di mana MMA selaku tuan rumah dan akan diikuti dalam penganjuran yang seterusnya.

Hari kedua temasya bersambung seperti biasa dengan acara-acara sukan yang lain. Malam Perdana sebagai Malam Gala telah dianjurkan oleh tuan rumah dengan menyajikan pelbagai persembahan kesenian dan kebudayaan Malaysia, tarian tradisional dan moden, persembahan musikal, persembahan kebudayaan Russia dan lagu rasmi Kursk Games 2010 “Ke Puncak Jaya”.

Hari terakhir temasya bersambung dengan pelbagai acara sukan di peringkat akhir (final) dan diakhiri dengan Majlis Penutup dan Penyampaian Medal Emas, Perak dan Gangsa oleh Rektor KSUM, Prof. V.A. Lazarenko yang berlangsung dengan penuh gilang gemilang.

Setelah keputusan rasmi kedudukan pungutan pingat secara keseluruhan diumumkan, temasya kali ini dimenangi oleh KSMU mengikut pungutan pingat emas tertinggi diikuti oleh VSMU, MMA, RSMU, MAI dan NNSMA.

Kontigen NNSMA telah berjaya membawa 4 pingat gangsa menerusi sukan Hoki Lelaki yang diketuai oleh Saudara Jonas Fernandez, sukan Bola Keranjang Perempuan yang diketuai oleh Saudari Ong Shi Juin, sukan Bola Baling Lelaki yang diketuai oleh Saudara Mohd Khairul Anuar Bin Kamarudin dan sukan Tarik Tali* yang diketuai oleh ketua kontigennya sendiri.

*sukan Tarik Tali dan Cybergames tidak dikira dalam pungutan pingat yang rasmi dan hanya sekadar permainan sampingan

Selesai Majlis Penutup, seluruh warga Kontigen NNSMA bergambar di hadapan Bangunan Utama Kampus KSMU sebagai kenangan sepanjang berada selama 3 hari 3 malam di temasya Sukan Intervarsiti Malaysia kali ke-7 di negeri Kursk. Bas bertolak pada pukul 6.30 petang dan perjalanan pulang mengambil masa selama 15 jam (2 kali berhenti).

Ucapan Syabas dan Tahniah diucapkan kepada seluruh warga Kontigen NNSMA kerana berjaya menyertai dan memeriahkan temasya kejohanan sukan terbesar kelompok pelajar Malaysia di Russia yang sebenarnya menjadi tradisi dari tahun ke tahun. Ketua Kontigen NNSMA bersama pegawai-pegawai yang lain serta ketua-ketua pasukan Nizhny dan Jawatankuasa MSA 2010/11 akan menilai semula segala kelemahan dan kekurangan yang boleh perbaiki terutama dari segi persiapan pasukan jangka masa panjang dan jangka masa pendek ke temasya akan datang supaya pasukan lebih bersedia dan lebih mantap. Ini memerlukan kerjasama dari semua pelajar Malaysia di NNSMA dalam merealisasikan cita-cita bersama.
